the Music Hall - you and me

Do Well By.png

A downtown performance and arts space that does well by Hamilton.

Built in 1868, Centenary Church has been a part of downtown Hamilton for years. As a designated heritage landmark, it’s significant not just for its cultural and architectural value but also for the collective experiences it has been host to.

Whether you’ve enjoyed this storied venue for a wedding, conference, Sunday service, or concert – such as 2016’s successful Syrian refugee fundraiser “Welcome to Hamilton” Concert (headlined by The National and produced by Supercrawl) – this auditorium has been a place that enriches the lives of Hamiltonians.

New Vision United Church is collaborating with the community so that the community brings into reality the Music Hall, a socially-engaged space for arts, culture and community featuring a mid-sized concert venue, in the developing Hamilton entertainment precinct.

Over the past five years and counting, the collaborative has worked with a number of venue experts, members of the cultural community and consultants to develop a plan that aligns with both their values and the broader arts, cultural and economic goals of the City of Hamilton.

We invite you to join us, and get involved. We all get it. Now it’s time we make it.
